Match Report |
Purton 1 Winterbourne United 7 After two previous home defeats this was a much-needed 3pts. Joner shook things up a little after two mediocre displays by bringing in Aaron Lochhead for a rare start and giving Toby Vosper his first full game. It was these two together with the help of youngsters Sean Thompson and Liam Powell who lit up the show. Bourne enjoyed total domination throughout the game and could have reached double figures. The goal scoring honours went to Scott Cameron in the first half with a clinically taken hat trick. Goals after 10, 17 and 36 minutes saw the visitors go in at half 3-0 up. It was Pottsy's turn to make use of the brilliant approach play with a hat-trick of his own, coming after 51, 63 and 79 minutes. Amongst this mayhem Mr Cameron weighed in with his fourth after 62 minutes. Right on the final whistle Purton grabbed a consolation from a harshly awarded penalty. FT 1.7 One anecdote from the game was the introduction of Nick Waters as a second half substitute who was then substituted himself later on in the game. |
